Universities Add Pietzo Hybrid Electric Bikes to Their Fleets

Gives staff a cost-effective and eco-friendly way to get around campus

Burlington, MA., September 8, 2010 – Many top-tier New England colleges and universities, including Harvard, Wellesley, Brandeis, Rhode Island School of Design, and UMass, have selected Pietzo hybrid electric bikes for their employees to move around campus. Use of the lithium-ion battery powered bikes lowers greenhouse gas emissions and offers cost-savings on gas and vehicle maintenance. Departments currently outfitted with Pietzo electric bikes include security, facilities, traffic and mail services.

The electric bikes provide a visible demonstration of Wellesley’s commitment to lowering greenhouse gas emissions.”
